Grand Soleil 65 is designed to respect the marine environment in which it sails. The materials and construction methods implied have low environmental impact and a high degree of recyclability: the teak, for example, is sourced from a sustainable supply chain, the glass is laminated for better insulation, the composite lamination uses linen and eco resins, the paints are water-based and solar panels provide renewable green energy. The Grand Soleil 65 Performance This version of the Grand Soleil 65 represents the perfect synthesis of performance, style and innovation. The extensive manufacturing expertise of the shipyard and innovative solutions increasingly attentive towards sustainability and energy efficiency are the hallmarks of this new model. The Grand Soleil 65 Performance differs from the Long Cruise version as it features an aft galley and the engine room located behind the engine. Below deck and interior layouts have the purpose of making best use of all available space. As a matter of fact, dimensions, ergonomics, stowage, functions and quality of accessories are in line with superyacht standards. The Grand Soleil 65 Long Cruise The Long Cruise version includes the saloon closer to the same level as the cockpit with a shorter staircase and a 270-degree panoramic view from inside that takes full advantage of the maximum beam. This version also offers more cruising characteristics than the Performance version while maintaining a fast and performance-optimised hull. The overall design and the material palettes connote a cool Italian style with interior styling that is sober and fresh, elegant and welcoming. Below the deck, the Long Cruise version features a saloon divided into a relaxation and dining area and raised above the level of the cabins to accommodate the engine room below. This solution allows to optimize the space of the two aft cabins which result larger in size due to the absence of the technical/engine room between them. The Düsseldorf International Boat Show has drawn to a close for 2023 and the doors have officially shut on the largest indoor boat show. Winter is coming, so for all yacht owners out there, we've gathered some tips and tricks to help you with the winter months ahead. Yachting Partners Malta top 10 tips for this winter: Remove as many soft furnishing as you can and store them on shore over winter. Empty and deep clean any fridges; consider turning them off and leaving them open until they are used again. Ensure all on-deck electronic covers are tightly fitted. Install a dehumidifier, stand up any remaining soft furnishings and mattresses and open lockers to air can flow around the boat. For sailboats, remove sails and then get them laundered and stored over winter. Ensure the fuel tank is topped up, to make sure condensation doesn't occur. If your boat is staying in the water over winter, then ensure that the engine is run regularly. Inspect the rudders, propellers and shafts, and other exterior surfaces for barnacles, removing them as you go. Flush the engine with antifreeze using an intake hose connected to the water pump and ensure to change the boat’s transmission fluid Remove the spark plugs, and clean the engine with fogging spray. If your boat is staying in the water over winter, make sure to add extra mooring lines and fenders, to ensure your boat is secure in preparation for bad weather.
